NEW 2009 Soymilk Maker – SoyQuick Premier Milk Maker 930P
Great Machine! Great Soymilk!
I wanted to put in my two cents worth since I’ve had the experience of using the Soyabella and the Soyquick SDZ-5 and Soyquick premier. I love fresh soymilk and having a soymilk maker is essential to my diet and health. Others who feel that way might like to here what I feel the differences are between these machines.

Zojirushi NS-PC10 Electric 5-Cup Rice Cooker and Warmer
Good rice for average rice eaters
We eat rice often. We’ve had a Faberware cooker for years that finaly died. Wouldn’t get another as it cooked the rice unevenly with ‘burned spots’. The Zojirushi costs lots more, but is well worth it. This unit cooks all of the rice perfectly every time. We like the size, it delivers 2 to 5 cups of cooked rice, and it delivers the same high quality rice for any batch size.

Zojirushi NHS-06 3-Cup Rice Cooker
Busy cooks cherish rice cookers. This one cooks up to 3 cups of dry rice (white or brown) and keeps it warm up to five hours. A glass lid permits monitoring of the cooking process. Instructions and a cooking chart explain everything.

Zojirushi NP-GBC05 Rice Cooker and Warmer
Worth every penny
I’ve had this rice maker for about 7 months. I vacillated for over a year before making my purchase–not only was the price scaring me off, but this model had been on the market for a while and I wanted to see if anything new and even better came out. However, when I read the mediocre reviews of the newest Zojirushi models–and prices nearing $450!–I thought it was about time I bit the bullet and shelled out for this rice cooker.

Stainless Steel Rice Cooker Model ME81
stainless steel pot
I bought this rice cooker because of the stainless steel pot. Learning about the dangers of non stick coatings and alum. pots made me invest in this product. I have no big complaints. I do wish it were a larger size (large family) Cooks rice well- if you spray the pot with PAM type product in the bottom. If not, it will stick. Overall it is a good purchase.

Sunpentown SC-886 3-Cup Stainless-Steel Rice Cooker and Steamer
Great little rice cooker
The Mr. Rice 3 Cups Stainless Steel Rice Cooker and Steamer – Model SC-886 Rice Cooker by Sunpentown is a well designed and quality product. I have cooked rice fast and effortlessly twice a day now for more than a month. The cooker’s small
footprint works well on my boat where I have little counter space. It also matches and looks great along with all my other stainless steal pots, pans and kettle.
The inner pot cleans up easily with no sticking. There is only one caution. And that is the outer surface like any pot or pan can become extremely hot during the cooking process. I am very happy with this product.

Zojirushi NHS-18 10-Cup Rice Cooker/Steamer & Warmer
Great product at a great price
I’ve been using this model for just over two years now with no problems at all. We routinely cook brown rice and have had none of the problems that others have called out. The one thing you must remember though is that you MUST rinse the rice (white or brown) before cooking it. We put it in a screened collander and run cold water through it for about one minute. Shake the excess water and you’re ready to go. The reason for the rinse is to keep the rice from foaming while it cooks. Evidently, the rice packers dust the rice with a talcum-like substance to keep it dry. This will cause the water to foam when it boils if you don’t rinse it off before you cook the rice.

Aroma ARC-856 6-Cup Sensor Logic Digital Cool-Touch Rice Cooker and Food Steamer
We’ve had a wonderful long term relationship
I bought this when offered at a sale price, spent more than I’d ever spent on a rice cooker and I wish I’d bought one for my daughter, too, so she could get rid of the mediocre one I gave her when I replaced it with this Aroma ARC-896. In over two years of constant use, I have yet to be disappointed with the rice, grains or veggies prepared within. Because I store this atop a high cabinet, the handle aids me in moving it up or down.
